Development Initiatives Promoters has a vision of a society with improved livelihood, tapping potentials and living in a favorable and conducive environment.
Our objectives are:- To promote community participation in the conceptualization, implementation and evaluation of development projects / programmes.
- To identify development priorities and seek to influence donors, grant makers, organized business and other stakeholders to support the Promoters' development agenda.
- To demonstrate and promote appropriate technologies.
- To document and disseminate innovations and indigenous knowledge.
- To facilitate experience and information sharing between different development actors.
- To promote establishment of savings and credit schemes.
- To promote Income Generation Activities (IGA) for the marginalized groups.
- To establish and run educational and training centers.
- To enhance Information Communication Technology application in different sectors/fields of development.
- To establish and maintain relationship with other national and international bodies having objects similar to those of DIP.
- To promote and facilitate the protection of sites, items and materials with cultural values.
- To establish and run museum centers.
- To create and find markets for products of rural people.
- To prospect intergenerational projects.
